An idyllic village in the Swiss mountains is cut off from the rest of the world by an avalanche that was intentionally triggered. Reto Lauenstein is seeking revenge for the death of his beloved son, who was run over by a drunk driver, namely Adalbert Jentsch, a local bigwig. Lauenstein threatens to cause further avalanches if Jentsch is not executed within the next 24 hours.
